Ainhoa Prieto, a graduate in Human Nutrition and Dietetics from the University of Navarra, has received the second award of the Leonardo Da Vinci scholarships for her stay at the Hi Performance Center, the sports high performing center of the University of Birmingham (UK).

These awards recognize the exemplary work of interns abroad, internships that must meet the quality guidelines set by the Foundation business - University of Navarra (FEUN) and the European Commission through the Lifelong Learning Program. The selection criteria, according to FEUN sources, value: thedevelopment of the internship, the skills acquired, their transnationality, the tasks performed, the experience staff and the assessment of the business

For Prieto, who has worked for six months with elite athletes designing diets and giving sessions, "the scholarship Leonardo has been a great opportunity to demonstrate my abilities, but also to continue training and evolve as a professional. From his experience he highlights "the professionalism of each team member and the recognition they have there. In this way the work is done jointly so the service is much more complete and effective for athletes. This translates into better performance and better results in their competitions".

This former student of the School Pharmacy, is grateful to receive this award as it is "a way to recognize all the work I have done and all the enthusiasm and interest I have put into this experience".

The Leonardo Da Vinci scholarship program will be discontinued next year to make way for the Erasmus Plus program, a new European model program that unifies study opportunities, training, internships and volunteer activities abroad.
