Opening of the subway car park located next to CIMA of the University of Navarra.
Next Monday, August 23, the subway car park will reopen next to the CIMAThe access control systems have been installed. As already reported the management of this car park by the University has been produced after a agreement with business Empark, which until June 30 had the surface right on the land on which the parking lot is located, owned by the real estate INMUDENSA.
As of next week, faculty and staff of the University, the Clínica Universidad de Navarra and CIMA will be able to park in the two basement levels, which have a total of about 650 parking spaces. Students, meanwhile, will be able to use the surface area at car park. Teachers and employees will also be able to access it, although it is recommended that they use the lower parking spaces first until they are full, in order to free up space for students.
The two existing vehicle entrances (Pío XII and source del Hierro) will be maintained. Motorcycles, for which a marked area will be set up in the first basement, must necessarily enter through Pío XII so that they can be identified, at entrance and at the exit. The schedule of use will be from 7 a.m. to 11 p.m., Monday to Friday; and from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturdays, and will remain closed on Sundays and holidays in Navarra. Outside these hours, no vehicles may be taken out of the facility.
Pedestrianization of the Science areaThe new covered car park will also have 50 places reserved for authorized visitors. A computer application will be created for its use that will allow reservations to be made from the secretary's offices of the Centers, CUN management or the management of CIMA. This system will work in a similar way to the one that already exists for the reservation of courts in the University's sports facilities.
The opening of this parking lot will make it possible to pedestrianize the Science area, eliminating the parking spaces at car park. It is foreseen that from September 4th only bicycles and vehicles for suppliers and handicapped people will have access to the area.
