70 international students in the summer courses of language and Spanish culture
The Institute of language and Spanish Culture(ILCE) of the University of Navarra is offering two courses for international students this summer. A total of 70 foreign students from more than 10 countries are participating in these training programs at language and Spanish culture.
The first of these is an intensive three-week course that will last until August 29. It involves a group of 33 students from the College of the Holy Cross (USA) who attend an "Introductory Course to the Spanish University", taught by professors Iranzu Peña, Isabel Logroño and Miguel Monreal, which consists of classes of language and culture focused on the preparation of university stays in Spain, as well as Cultural Activities Office and complementary excursions. Afterwards, they will go to La Coruña, Palma de Mallorca and León to carry out a academic year in three universities in those cities. This is the tenth consecutive year that students from the College of the Holy Cross have participated in these ILCE programs.
On the other hand, 37 students, mainly from Centennial College (Canada), but also from other countries (European, American and Asian), are taking intensive two-week courses of language and Spanish culture with professors Rebeca Segura, Beatriz Delgado and Adriana Gordejuela. Some of them will be especially useful to improve their knowledge of language before the beginning of the course, as they continue with their programs of study at the University of Navarra from September 1st.
