Governance students discuss European Partnerships at the Youth Mediterranean Dialogue
Three students from School of Economics have worked together with 90 young people from 35 different countries.


Pedro Robalino, María Fe Portugal and Elisa Molero, 2nd year students of Governance, have participated in the meeting Youth Mediterranean Dialogue 2016, organized in Madrid by the Spanish Youth Atlantic committee .
Over the course of a week, students from School Economics have represented Germany's position at the Youth Mediterranean Dialogue 2016 (YMD), a simulation of the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO).
The students worked together with 90 young people from 35 different countries on international security issues related to NATO member countries. In this edition of the YMD, topics such as strategies to combat terrorism, war situations in the Middle East and international defense, among others, were addressed.
In addition to the sessions of discussion and negotiation, the students have known from the hand of the director of the Centro Superior de programs of study de Defensa Nacional (CESEDEN), Rafael Sánchez Ortega, issues on international security, collective defense and high-risk decisions in a visit to the Center. Likewise, the students have attended the Military Base "El Goloso" where they have participated in simulations of attacks to high risk areas from military tanks.
