72 people from 18 nationalities make up the team of the Institute for Culture and Society team at the University of Navarra in the 2018-2019 academic year. They come from Afghanistan, Argentina, Canada, Colombia, Denmark, Dominican Republic, Guatemala, India, Ireland, Italy, Mexico, Netherlands, Poland, Portugal, Russia, Spain, United Kingdom and USA.

The director, Jaime García del Barrio, pointed out some data of the previous academic year and reviewed the main objectives of this one.
He pointed out that high school researchers published 90 scientific articles, 82.9% in first and second quartile journals -those of the highest quality-. They also organized 101 activities - 6 of them international congresses - and participated in 130 scientific meetings in 28 countries. In addition, eight researchers made stays abroad and two thesis doctoral dissertations were defended.
Regarding the activity professor, seven students completed the Master's Degree in research in Social Sciences (MICS), four of them with a scholarship from the Social Trends Institute; 34 students took the first edition of degree scroll Specialist in Big Data; and 313 people completed the MOOC 'Navarra: history and culture', 33 of them from outside Spain.
The director of the ICS also highlighted that there are 26 active projects with competitive grants such as Marie Curie, Ramón Areces, Ramón y Cajal, Juan de la Cierva, which have amounted to more than half a million euros. In addition, other private foundations and entities such as Zurich, Banco Santander or Gamesa have allocated more than one million euros to finance part of the center's activity. In this way, he emphasized that the net investment of the University only represents approximately 15-20% of the expense executed.
Two evaluations of the centerJaime García del Barrio pointed out that in the 2018-2019 academic year, two evaluations of the center will be carried out, which will help to assess the results achieved to date and to detect areas of strength and improvement. One of them will be carried out by peers -assessment triennial projects - and another will be of an internal nature.
Finally, he indicated that among the priorities are to work on the unity of the center around the common topic of 'development and social links', to strengthen the International Office, to reinforce links with Latin America, to continue competing in public and private calls for proposals, to continue working on the social impact of the research, to reinforce the multidisciplinarity...
Regarding the team's novelties, he explained that during this course, the Colombian Edgar Benítez and Martiño Rodríguez (''Education de la afectividad y de la sexualidad humana''), the Portuguese José Colen (''') and the Italian Eleonora Esposito (''') will be incorporated as researchers, as well as the Italian Eleonora Esposito ('''), who will be in charge of the research team.Religion and Civil Society') and the Italian Eleonora Esposito ('?Public discourse'), who will do so thanks to a scholarship Marie Curie. On the other hand, Irati García will join the subproject 'Habitual decisions: devaluation in decision making in adults with and without ADHD' (''Mind-brain'') and Pablo Urruchi, the Statistics Unit.
