" Medical Information is a necessary activity for drugs and medical devices marketed by pharmaceutical companies to be used safely and effectively," explained Patricia Ortega and María Delgado, from business Meisys, at the first 'Spotlight' on Medical Information of the Master's Degree at management of Pharma-Biotech Companies.
The course, given by one of the most renowned companies in the medical information area , took place on October 14 and 15 at the University of Navarra's Campus in Madrid. One of its main objectives was to bring the reality of the sector closer to the students, who come from various scientific and healthcare disciplines.
According to the teachers, Medical Information Technicians play a strategic role in corporations, as they must provide reliable, accurate, balanced, updated and impartial information on the company's products to health professionals, public administrations and patients or consumers, "collaborating in the safe and effective use of medicines and medical devices".
