The Chair of Heritage and Navarrese Art of the University of Navarra has published the book La capilla de San Fermín en la pamplonesa iglesia parroquial de San Lorenzo (The chapel of San Fermín in the parish church of San Lorenzo in Pamplona). Written by José Luis Molins, municipal archivist, professor and partner of the Chair, it will be presented next Tuesday, November 24, at 7:00 pm, in an online event.

The event will be chaired by Ana Burusco, Director General of Universities of the Government of Navarra; Tomás Gómez-Acebo, Vice President of Alumni of the University of Navarra; José Luis Molins, author of the publication; and Ricardo Fernández Gracia, director of the Chair of Heritage and Navarrese Art of the School of Philosophy and Letters. Sponsored by the Government of Navarra, the work addresses the material and immaterial values of the monument, its religious, historical, artistic, social and cultural aspects

In addition, La capilla de San Fermín en la pamplonesa iglesia parroquial de San Lorenzo collects a set of plans and drawings of the creative process of the chapel; unusual documents in the Hispanic Baroque that readers will enjoy thanks to this monograph.

"With the reading of this work, people who visit the image and chapel of that sign of identity of Pamplona and Navarre that is San Fermin will be able to learn, reflect, value and taste what the three centuries-old building contains. The people of Pamplona, Navarre and those who feel attracted by our history have within their reach a past that, without a doubt, will help them to live in the present and project themselves into the future", said Professor Fernández Gracia.

The book will be available in digital version on the web page of the Chair of Heritage and Navarrese Art of the School of Philosophy and Letters next 24th, after the presentation.
