30 new MIDI graduates join network of 500 alumni

The Master's Degree in research, development and Innovation of Medicines has celebrated the closing of its 27th edition with an employability of 57% before the end of the program.

With an appeal to maintain the friendly relations forged during the realization of the Master's Degree in Medicines Research, development and Innovation. This is how the dean of the School of Pharmacy and Nutrition, Adela López de CeráinThe 27th edition of postgraduate program, made up of 30 new experts in this field.

Coming from Spain, Peru and Ecuador, and from 7 different universities, the recent postgraduates are part of an international network of more than 500 alumni who have attended this Master's Degree, one of the longest-running in Spain and one of the most issue one in rankings, such as the one prepared annually by the newspaper The World.

The guest speaker at the closing of this year's edition was the Dr. Ramón PalopD. in Medicine and Surgery from the University of Valencia and head of the Management Support Unit of the Spanish Agency for Medicines and Health Products (AEMPS), who dedicated his talk to explaining the structure and operation of the Spanish Agency of Medicines and Health Products.

Equality in the field of Science and Technology research

The delegate for Promotion, for her part, dedicated her speech to reflect on equality between men and women in the field of science and the research. In her speech, Ane Valera recovered the story of Elizabeth Blackwell, the first woman graduate in Medicine in history. In her opinion, Blackwell's achievement represented "an important milestone in the advance towards equality, which has been possible thanks to the tenacity and decision of some women, who decided to rebel against unfair regulations that prevented their access to knowledge and their plenary session of the Executive Council development as human beings". Likewise, Ane wanted to recall in her speech some moments lived in the 16 months shared with her companions of Master's Degree.

Finally, the dean closed the ceremony by encouraging the graduates to maintain contact among themselves, and to continue to enrich this network of alumni.

At the closing date of the issue 27 edition of Master's Degree, 56% of the students already had work (scholarship, contract or doctorate) and that rate reached 100% employability 6 months after completing the Master's Degree MIDI of the University of Navarra.
