On May 18, an academic ceremony was held in honor of Professor Agustín González Enciso. The ceremony, presided over President Alfonso Sánchez-Tabernero, featured remarks by Ricardo Martí Fluxá, President of the Institute of business Humanism and of board of trustees Royal board of trustees Reina Sofía National Museum; Professor Luis Antonio Ribot García, Full Professor Modern History at UNED and member issue Royal Academy issue History; Professor Javier Escrivá, Full Professor director the Institute of Family Sciences at the University of Navarra; Rafael Torres Sánchez, Senior Associate Professor Economic History at the School of Science and Business at the University of Navarra; and Julia Pavón, Tenured Professor and Director of department History, Art History, and Geography at the University of Navarra.

In his speech, Professor Torres Sanchez wanted to highlight Professor Gonzalez Enciso's ability to evolve along with his research and publications and his continuous effort to exercise the profession at increasingly higher levels of demand and impact. "There are many of us who have had the immense fortune of seeing and enjoying him. It is complicated to transmit knowledge, but it is much more complicated to transmit values and an attitude towards the profession and towards life. Contrary to what it may seem, the difficulty is not in teaching how to use the tool, or the whole briefcase, but what it is going to be used for. And this difference has always been very clear to Agustín", he pointed out, "Agustín's true strength has been that he has been a teacher almost without trying to be one, simply by setting an example. The courage and effort of his work has become a source of generosity for others, and, most importantly, a source of encouragement for all of us. We have learned to recognize him as a teacher because he inspires us, and makes us better".
