This quarter, part of the CIMA LAB Diagnostics team has attended various national and international congresses to give lectures and present their latest work related to Genetics and flow cytometry.
12-15 September (Boston): International Myeloma Workshop

Our scientific co-director, Dr Bruno Paiva, travelled to Boston to present two abstracts on advances in the treatment of multiple myeloma.
22 October (Madrid): IV Informative workshop on Multiple Myeloma (MM)

Our scientific co-director was invited to speak about high-risk cytogenetic factors in multiple myeloma.
22-25 October (Pamplona): congress SEOM 2019
Speakers: Dr. Gorka Alkorta-Aranburu and Ms. Teresa Imízcoz
Dr. Gorka Alkorta-Aranburu was invited to give a presentation on liquid biopsy discussion paper , while Ms. Teresa Imízcoz presented an oral speech on the relevance of identifying people predisposed to cancer through the genomic study of solid tumours.
October 24-26 (Valencia): LXI congress
Speakers: Mr. Beñat Ariceta and Ms. María José Larrayoz
D. Beñat Ariceta participated with an oral poster graduate "Whole genome sequencing at leave coverage for the detection of variants in the issue copy number in chronic lymphocytic leukaemia surpasses FISH in scope and resolution". On the other hand, Ms. Larrayoz gave an oral speech on the clinical utility of an NGS panel in the monitoring of patients with acute myeloid leukaemia.
October 23-25 (Seville): XIII congress

Our co-director of laboratory Solid Tumours discussed with other experts the management of a laboratory molecular biology from the perspective of Genetics and genomics.
22-24 November (Madrid): 14th congress for Cancer Patients

Dr. Calasanz gave a presentation discussion paper on understanding genetic testing for cancer at an annual event at goal to exchange experiences and lessons learned between patients, families and society.
These are just some of the events in which CIMA LAB Diagnostics has been present. In addition, committed to training in terms of the latest techniques and technologies, in November we held several courses at our facilities, including the 4th edition of the Course on Diagnosis and Monitoring of Malignant Haematopathies.
