Daniel Vicandi, from Nexus Company, will be available for interviews upon request.

The University Museum of Navarra closes its autumn-winter 2025 performing arts program with two proposals around Christmas: Nexus Company returns with its traditional Dance Gala on Tuesday, December 30; and family audiences have a quotation on the 27th with A Christmas Carol, by the hand of the Chamber Opera association of Navarra. Tickets can be purchased at locker and web.

Dance is one of the great bets of the MUN, and the performance of Nexus Company is a fixed quotation in its program. In this IV edition of its Gala, the company returns to the Theater with a first class international cast, among which stands out the Spanish Daniel Ramos, with a career recognized throughout Europe: "One of the great international stars of Spanish dance," says Daniel Vicandi, who forms the artistic direction of the company along with Aitor Arrieta and Juanjo Carazo.

Also performing will be the dancer from Pamplona, Eukene Sagues, of the Royal Danish Ballet. Ramos presents her choreographies ConTRAcuerpo and Petenera, pieces in which she combines tradition, expressive strength and technical virtuosity; while Sagues (together with Meirambek Nazargozhayev) will perform Bodas de Sangre and La Sylphide, fusing the romantic and the contemporary, with great sensitivity. Atlanta Ballet, the National Dance Company and the National Ballet of Spain are other outstanding companies from which the dancers come from.

This year's repertoire, explains Vicandi, "is designed to offer an intense and complete experience, but one that leaves the audience wanting more. The evening brings together a wide variety of pieces and styles, from classical dance to contemporary and flamenco, making it an accessible and attractive proposal for all audiences".

Teresa Lasheras, artistic director of the MUN, also refers to the quality of the program, with "iconic pieces of the dance repertoire but also own creations". "The partnership between the MUN and Nexus Company makes it possible to keep this gala alive, which is now in its fourth edition and allows us to enjoy the best dance in all its expressions," she says.

A diary designed for small artists

On the other hand, family audiences can note a quotation for these vacations with the little ones of the house: on Tuesday, December 30, they will have the opportunity to enjoy the classic A Christmas Carol, with the association Ópera de Cámara de Navarra. The degree scroll stars Scrooge, a sullen and miserly old man who is about to dine alone on Christmas Eve and is visit by three ghosts, an experience that will make him reflect.

The association Ópera de Cámara de Navarra seeks since 2003 to promote the passion for opera, with special attention to children, youth and family audiences. It does so through the creation of lyrical shows of its own production and high quality, based on tales, fables and stories known from popular culture.

"This version of the Dickens classic offers us an opportunity to enjoy the music of Íñigo Casalí and a cast of very young and also very established singers, who present us with this Christmas story to talk about empathy, generosity, forgiveness and kindness," says Teresa Lasheras.

In addition, children and families can approach art this Christmas with various participatory proposals: on Saturday 13, adults and children (4 years and older) can collaborate to make Christmas decorations in a creative way, in the workshopChristmas workshopcoming; and children from 5 to 11 years old can enjoy the CreArting Christmas urban camps, on December 29, 30 and 31.
