The Tecnun Choir premiered its anthem at the spring concert

The Choir of Tecnun held its traditional spring concert at the Holy Spirit Parish Church. One of the highlights was the premiere of the Tecnun Choir anthem, composed by Professor Emeritus Juan Flaquer and arranged for choir by director current director , Jon Larrauri.
Professor Menchu Blanco, a member of the choir, notes that they had a “really good time,” both at the concert and during rehearsals. She emphasizes that the experience “was fantastic, and we enjoyed it immensely.” She also expresses her gratitude partnership school chaplain, Mr. Toché Marín, “who is always willing to work with us.”
The program featured works from various styles and eras. Classical pieces such as Johann Sebastian Bach’s “Jesus Bleibet Meine Freude” and Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart’s “Ave Verum” were performed alongside contemporary compositions such as Eliza Gilkyson’s “Requiem” and Josep Ollé’s “Ave Virgo Sanctissima.” The repertoire was rounded out with popular songs such as “Thank You for the Music” by ABBA and “Hallelujah” by Leonard Cohen, as well as traditional pieces such as “Dindirindin” from the Cancionero de Palacio.
A new concert will soon take place at high school Mayor . On this occasion, the Tecnun Choir and Big Band will come together for an event open to students and staff on campus.
