The University of Navarra is participating in the project Healthpreneurs project to promote innovation and entrepreneurship in healthcare

The University of Navarra, through its Office of knowledge Technology Transfer (Transfer UNAV) and Innovation Factory UNAV, is participating in project Healthpreneurs project , an initiative funded by the European Institute of Innovation and Technology (EIT) framework 2024 framework its Higher Education Initiative program.

The project goal innovation and entrepreneurship in European Education institutions, with a particular focus on the health sector. To this end, it promotes training mentoring for students,researcher staff researcher academic and non-academic professionals, while also supporting the growth of innovative startups in the health sector.

Xavier Tapias, director Transfer UNAV, emphasizes that participating in this initiative represents “an exceptional opportunity to contribute our expertise in technology transfer and support the transformation of innovative ideas into real-world solutions that have a positive impact on society. Being part of Healthpreneurs allows us to continue bringing innovation and entrepreneurship to the university setting and contribute to development solutions that address real challenges in the healthcare sector. partnership institutions and disciplines are essential for building a more innovative and sustainable European ecosystem.”

The project, led by UCAM (Universidad Católica San Antonio) in Murcia (Spain), brings together a consortium comprising the University of Navarra (Spain), the University of Strathclyde (United Kingdom), the Università Telematica San Raffaele (Italy), the University of Santiago de Compostela (Spain), the University of Sport in Tirana (Albania), and Cambridge Biocapital (United Kingdom), with additional support from the Católica Luz Clinical Academic Centre (Portugal).

The initiative aims to strengthen the European innovation and entrepreneurship ecosystem through partnership universities, startups, companies, and stakeholders in the healthcare sector. In this regard, the University of Navarra is reinforcing its commitment to knowledge transfer knowledge creating impact through international projects and partnership networks.

Through this participation, the University of Navarra is reinforcing its commitment to supporting European initiatives aimed at fostering innovation, entrepreneurship, and knowledge transfer knowledge drivers of social transformation and development .
