The University, ranked first in Spain according to the CYD ranking

The University of Navarra ranks first in Spain according to the CYD ranking, having achieved 28 " high performing indicators high performing a possible 36 in this classification. This is the most comprehensive and exhaustive ranking of the Spanish university system, evaluating 84 universities—87.5% of all active universities—across 31 fields of knowledge more than 3,909 degree programs. 

The University of Navarra excels in international outreach, teaching, research knowledge transfer. The CYD ranking evaluates Spanish universities using 36 indicators, divided into five areas:teaching Learning,”research,” knowledgeTransfer, knowledge“International Focus,” and “Contribution to development .” 

The University of Navarra ranks first in Spain in “International Focus,” with all indicators classified as high performing.” In addition, it ranks second inteaching Learning,” with eight out of nine indicators showing high performing that area; and inresearch,researchtied with the University of Cantabria and the University of Lleida, with seven high performing eight possible indicators showing high performing ; and in knowledgeTransfer, knowledgethird, with six high performing nine possible indicators showing high performing .

First place in Business Administration and Management

In addition to the overall ranking, the guide publishes a detailed and up-to-date analysis of certain academic fields each year. Among the fields analyzed for the 2026 academic year, the University of Navarra ranked first in Business Administration and Management out of 59 universities. 

The CYD Foundation also ranks regions based on their performance indicators.The best regional university system in Spain is that of Navarre, followed by Catalonia and the Basque Country. By category, Navarre ranks first in teaching learning, research international focus. It also stands out in knowledge transfer, with Navarre ranking as the second-best region in the country in this area.
