Tecnun, the School of Engineering at the University of Navarra, has integrated RoboDK, a powerful simulation and offline programming software for industrial robots, thanks to partnership agreement with this business . The incorporation of this technology aims to enhanceinternship training andinternship in the fields of robotics, industrial automation, and virtual simulation environments.
The business granted licenses for its platform so that students can carry out academic internships and work on their Degree Master's Degree theses. In the initial phase, the software will be implemented directly in the courses on Biomechanics and Biorobotics and on Industrial Automation and Instrumentation.
This tool students to learn simulation and programming techniques commonly used in industry, applied to both industrial process automation and the development technologies for the healthcare sector.
RoboDK’s simulation and offline programming environment will also allow them to learn how to program different types of robots without needing to have them physically available during the initial design development phases, reserving the actual equipment for final testing and validation. This methodology mirrors internship in the industrial sector, where programming and virtual simulation make it possible to optimize processes, reduce development times development avoid disruptions on production lines.
“The integration of RoboDK brings students closer to the reality of industrial automation and advanced robotics. Thanks to this tool, they will be able to design, simulate, and program robots in a professional environment, acquiring skills that are in high demand by companies and applying the knowledge they’ve learned in the classroom real-world engineering scenarios,” says Sebastián Gutiérrez, a robotics professor at Tecnun and manager the initiative.
With this addition, Tecnun continues to strengthen its commitment to an innovative training internship program aligned with the needs of the industry, enabling its students to work with professional tools and tackle the technological challenges of the future with greater confidence.
