The School of Nursing at the University of Navarra hosted a “ visit ” last week by Heather Herdman, CEO of INKA (International Nursing Knowledge Association, formerly known as NANDA). During her session, Herdman delved into the key strategies for optimizing clinical decision-making among nurses in their day-to-day practice, promoting care focused on measuring real patient outcomes.
Among the topics core topic discussed at workshop, the importance of applying precision diagnostics to identify the causes of health problems and resolve them at their source was highlighted. Likewise, speaker emphasized the need to choose treatments based on proven scientific evidence and to integrate standardized terminology into digital medical records, thereby facilitating work interdisciplinary collaboration. This vision combines technological innovation with human empathy, strengthening the Faculty’s preparations for the INKA Internationalcongress , which it will host in June 2027.
