Cinema, emotions and wellness: the University's Counseling and Wellness Unit organizes the 1st Blue COMPASS Day
The so-called "saddest day of the year" became an opportunity to reflect and grow emotionally.

Last Monday, January 20, on the occasion of "Blue Monday", the saddest day of the year, Compass, the University's orientation and wellness unit, held the first edition of the Blue Compass Day. Blue Compass Day. Nearly 400 people, including students, mentors and other professionals, quotation in the theater of the University Museum to attend a film forum on emotions.
Following the screening of the film "Inside Out 2", professors Javier Antón, from the School of ArchitecturePablo Castrillo, from the School of Communication; and Irene Alústiza, from the School of Education and Psychology and clinical psychologist, discussed the three main themes of the film: emotions and emotional regulation; personality and the construction of one's own identity; and social relationships and evolving family ties and relationships. During the colloquium, they delved into the different scenes and reflected on the way in which each of the topics discussed impacts our daily lives.
As was pointed out in the colloquium, although the students of the University have overcome the adolescence of the protagonist of the film, the university stage is also open to many changes in all areas of the person: family, friends, decision making, or professional future, among others. In addition to reflecting on these issues, the film forum was an opportunity to remember that well-being and emotional management are key at all stages of life, especially at the University, where every decision marks the path to the future.
On the other hand, during the meeting the presentation video of Compass was shown, whose goal is to promote the integral training of the students, offering committee, orientation and support to help them to focus on situations in which they experience difficulties of different subject It also seeks to promote the well-being of students through various resources such as events and workshops.
