The workshop of research in Experimental and Health Sciences of the University of Navarra has awarded the poster presented by Cayetana Ruiz, from the School of Nursing. Her work has obtained the award to the best communication in the area of food, lifestyles and health.
Under the degree scroll "Parental competencies as tool in the promotion of child health", the first result of his research was presented, in which it has been shown that taking into account the epidemic of child obesity in countries such as Spain, health professionals have to reinforce the promotion of healthy lifestyles, especially through their support to parents. To this end, it is essential to assess their parental competencies objectively and subjectively. "I am very happy to have received this recognition as it is a small boost to continue developing our research in nursing and, of course, making it known," explained the researcher.
The ninth edition of this workshop brought together 63 researchers from doctorate of the area experimental and health sciences of the University of Navarra. The aim of goal was to improve the communication of science carried out in the laboratories of the academic center. Scientists from the Schools of Nursing, Science, Pharmacy and Nutrition, Medicine, the research center Applied Medicine (CIMA) and the Clínica Universidad de Navarra (CUN) presented their research throughout the workshop through papers and posters located on the ground floor of Hexagon Building.
