In its 2017 call for proposals, the high school de Salud Carlos III funded 27 biomedical research projects at the University of Navarra.
These programs of study are focused on discovering mechanisms and new treatments for cancer, obesity, multiple myeloma and schizophrenia.

The high school de Salud Carlos III (ISCIII), attached to the Ministry of Economics, Industry and Competitiveness, selected in its 2017 call 27 projects from research of the University of Navarra, within the Strategic Action in Health (AES). These are programs of study focused on discovering mechanisms and new treatments against cancer, schizophrenia and obesity, among others.
The high school de Salud Carlos III is the main public organization in charge of financing, managing and executing the biomedical research in Spain.
Of the total number of grants, 14 - eleven projects and three fellowships - correspond to programs of study . Clínica Universidad de NavarraThe projects will focus on obesity, schizophrenia, multiple myeloma or estimation of body fat in adults.
For its part, the research center Médica Aplicada (CIMA) has received funding for 6 projects from research in the development of new immunotherapy strategies for the treatment of colorectal cancer and the potentiation of immunotherapy against lung cancer, etc.
Finally, the ISCIII has subsidized 7 works of the Schools of Sciences, Nursing, Pharmacy and Nutrition; and Medicine of the University of Navarra, focused on Parkinson's disease, cancer immunotherapy, leukemia and to know what it means for a person living with chronic heart failure.
Some of the projects have been presented by the University as a member institution of high school of research Sanitaria de Navarra (IdiSNA).
