An expert from the University of Navarra analyzes the keys to the thought of the theologian Romano Guardini
Professor José Manuel Fidalgo publishes 'Seeing through your eyes. Putting Christ at the center of thought. A study on R. Guardini'.
José Manuel Fidalgo, professor of the School of Theology and director of the high school Superior of Religious Sciences of the University of Navarra, has published the book Ver por tus ojos. Putting Christ at the center of thought. A study on R. Guardini. A work in which he analyzes some of the key aspects of the thought of the renowned theologian Romano Guardini, currently in the process of beatification.
"It is a reflection on the Christian training with scientific rank: to understand in depth what it means to 'think the world in a Christian way'," says Professor Fidalgo. In addition, he assures that "Christianity is not an offer of ideas, a lifestyle or moral values. The essence of Christianity is a person: Jesus Christ. Everything changes when, through the action of faith, the person opens himself internally to God in Christ, puts him at the center of his thinking and looks at the world "through his eyes". Christ calls for an authentic conversion in living and thinking: an "exercise" in Christianity. What does it mean to put Christ "at the center of thought"? How does this happen? What does it consist of and what are the risks?
It is aimed at students and professors, and all those who, in one way or another, participate in the challenge of the Christian training in today's world, especially in the university environment.
