A project of the Institute for Culture and Society (ICS) funded with a scholarship Marie Curie participates in a competition of knowledge dissemination of the European Union (EU). The competition aims to show the social impact of EU-funded research.

The ICS is competing with a video about ORFOCREA, the line developed by the Russian researcher Sarali Gintsburg at project '.Public discourse'. The piece is available in the Youtube list of research and innovation initiatives supported by the EU.

The coordinator of project whose video receives the most 'likes' by 16 April 2018 will be able to attend free of charge to congress EuroScience Open Forum, the largest non-specialist scientific meeting in Europe, to be held in Toulouse (France) in July 2018.

ORFORCREA investigates the cognitiveinstructions of creativity in verbal art, examining its interaction with both oral tradition and literacy. It uses the following traditions: medieval Arabic poetry; French cantares de gesta; oral epics of the former Yugoslavia, collected between the 19th century and the first half of the 20th century by Parry& Lord and others; and the still living oral tradition of the Jbala of Morocco.
