The University signature a agreement with the Government and the UPNA to promote the high school of research Sanitary of Navarra (IDISNA)

In continuity with the pre-agreement signed on October 20, the University, the Government of Navarra and the UPNA have signed a agreement to promote the high school of research Sanitaria de Navarra (IDISNA). The document establishes some measures to be implemented in the coming months, such as the reform of the Statutes and the composition of the new board of trustees and of the organs of management of high school.

The agreement seeks to strengthen the partnership between the health institutions and the universities of the Autonomous Community of Navarra, through a high school that encompasses the internship entire health network researcher of Navarra. The accreditation of this high school will be a requirement for access to most of the national grants.

"It is an integrating and pioneering project , which will enhance the research, promote cooperation and help finance the projects of all the entities that make up IDISNA," said President, Alfonso Sanchez-Tabernero, at purpose of this agreement.

A board of trustees with 15 members

The new IDISNA board of trustees will be made up of 15 members. It will be chaired by the Regional Minister of Health and will have the rectors of both universities as vice-presidents. Each of the hospital centers will have three members, each of the universities will have two members and each of the research centers will appoint one member board member .

The scientific director of the high school will continue to be Dr. Rosario Luquin, director of the department of Neurology of the Clínica Universidad de Navarra.

The commitment reached reflects the willingness of all parties to establish the necessary guarantees and procedures to ensure that consensus, rigor and scientific criteria prevail in the management of the center; requirements required for a center that aspires to excellence.

research The agreement will also contribute to guaranteeing the sustainability of the public and private healthcare centers integrated in the IDISNA, both public and private.

"I think that together we can ensure that Navarra is at the forefront of biomedical research . In particular, I think it is very positive that today's signature confirms the incorporation of the UPNA to high school", stressed the President.
