On April 6, the University of Navarra Museum will host the conference of Educational Centers organized by the School of Education and Psychology, and that this year will take by degree scroll "Activating a creative school from the arts". These conference are coordinated by professors Ana Costa and Carmen Urpí.

- This year's edition has as degree scroll "Activating a creative school from the arts". Why is this theme important?

Society requires creative people who can face the different current challenges. In the current scenario educational we are faced with a great paradox that affects the future of innovation in education. On the one hand, research shows the benefits of the artistic Education in favor of the training of creative people; however, on the other hand, we see how the reality in the classroom and in educational policies is not in line with this evidence.

- What is the goal of these conference?

To provide solutions and effective answers to our students and educational centers about the possibility that the arts offer to a more creative and innovative Education . In final, shorten the distance between the evidence of the research and the social and educational reality.

- To whom are they addressed?

To all educators, in the broadest sense of the word. Innovating in Education and fostering creativity through the arts is a way of understanding any educational internship that benefits people and society.

- A program that includes 3 different workshops, how will each one of them be developed, who will teach it, and what will it consist of?

There will be three specific workshops on art therapy, voice and movement, taught by specialists in the different topics, in order to incorporate practical strategies for improvement in subject of educational creativity. The aim is to share resources and methodologies that can be transferred to different environments of teaching-learning.

- In addition to the workshops, the conference will include a plenary session, led by violinist and pedagogue Claudio Forcada, a specialist in Suzuki methods.

Claudio Forcada's extensive experience and great knowledge as a music pedagogue are a consolidated point of reference letter for educators and artists. His research activity, articulated with his internship professor , allows him to show how the artistic Education is able to make people creative in any context staff or professional.
