After studying Nutrition at San Jose State University (California), Camila Raygada crossed the Atlantic in 2019 to study the EuropeanMaster's Degree in Food, Nutrition and Metabolism, offered by School Pharmacy and Nutrition. "It was one of the most rewarding memorable experiences of my life, where I gained confidence in the field of nutrition and research, had the opportunity to practice my speech skills, and received great mentorship from my tutor".

Thus, Camila explains that during the programme she was able to put on internship everything she learned about healthy eating patterns and the Mediterranean lifestyle in Spain. "In addition, the Master's Degree helped me to gain new skills to understand and keep up to date with current recommendations and new findings from research in nutrition and health". 

Months after finishing her training, in November 2021, she was offered a position as an assistant laboratory at the School of Stanford University Medicine, at the Sean N. Parker Center for Allergy and Asthma research , which seeks better treatments for allergies and asthma in children and adults, while studying fundamental immune mechanisms against the diseases to develop a lasting cure. "As an assistant at laboratory, work in the manufacturing facility preparing oral immunotherapy doses of food allergens for patients at the programs of study clinics," explains Camila. "Thanks to the experience I gained from Master's Degree and the various research techniques discussed at subject Advanced Techniques at research, I can work with precision while preparing medicines. In addition, thanks to Master's Degree I have developed competencies and tools that have enabled me to practice as a dietitian and help others with nutritional health".
