He replaces Miguel Brugarolas, who will continue to hold the position of Associate Dean of research. Professor Juan Luis Caballero has also been appointed director of the department programs of study Biblical and Church History programs of study .

The president, María Iraburu, has appointed Professor Juan José Silvestre as Associate Dean of faculty of the School of TheologyThe position was previously held by Miguel Brugarolas. Professor Brugarolas will continue to hold the position of Associate Dean for research. The appointments will be effective as of September 1.
Juan José Silvestre holds a graduate in Law from the University of Valencia (1996) and in Church History from the Università della Santa Croce (2003). D. in Sacred Liturgy from the Pontifical Liturgical Institute Sant'Anselmo in Rome (2007), he was ordained a priest in May 2004. He has been professor of Liturgical Theology at the Università della Santa Croce and consultant the Ufficio Celebrazione Liturgiche del Sommo Pontifice and the Dicastery for Divine Worship. Since September 2022 he has been professor of Liturgy at the School of Theology.

In addition, Juan Luis Caballero has been appointed by the president as the new director of the department programs of study Biblical and Church History programs of study the School of Theology, replacing Professor Juan Chapa, who has held the position since 2020, after the merger of the Departments of Sacred Scripture and Historical Theology. The appointment will be effective as of September 1.
Juan Luis Caballero holds a graduate in Economics and Business Administration from the Complutense University of Madrid (1992), a doctorate in Biblical Theology from the University (1999) and a graduate in Sacred Scripture from the Pontifical Biblical Institute of Rome (2003). His main line of research focuses on the field of biblical programs of study , especially the New Testament (hermeneutics, textual criticism and writings of Luke and Paul). Since 2004 he is professor of New Testament at the School of Theology. He is also a member of the committee publishing house of the journal Scripta Theologica, partner the group Religion and Civil Society of the Institute for Culture and Society and coordinator of the 4th year of the high school program in Theology.
