Dr. Iván Martínez was one of the 580 scientists selected from more than 20,000 candidates.

Dr. Iván Martínez, scientist of the research center Applied Medicine (CIMA) of the University of Navarra, has participated in the meeting International Nobel Prize in Lindau (Germany).. It is a point of meeting for medical experts and young researchers, which promotes discussion topics in different scientific fields.

In its 59th edition, the scientific event brought together 23 Nobel Laureates at Chemistry, such as Hartmut Michel and Robert Huber (1988), Peter Agre (2003) and Roger Tsien (2008). Also in attendance were 580 researchers from centers around the world, such as Iván Martínez, selected from more than 20,000 candidates for his academic career to proposal of the Spanish Society of Immunology. graduate in Medicine from the National University of Colombia, Dr. Martínez is preparing his doctoral thesis at the School of Sciences of the University of Navarra. In August 2008 he joined the laboratory of Immunology of CIMA, directed by Dr. Ignacio Melero, where he participates in the European project ENCITE (European Network for Cell Imaging and Tracking Expertise) on cancer immunology.
