Professors César Izquierdo and Santiago Casas are the new Associate Dean and director of research, respectively, of the School of Theology of the University of Navarra.

César Izquierdo (Huércanos, La Rioja, 1953) holds a doctorate in Theology and Philosophy from the University of Navarra. He practices the teaching and the research in the campus of Pamplona, where he is Full Professor of Fundamental Theology since 1998. Since 1999 he has been director of department of Dogmatic Theology and, since 2009, director of the journal Scripta Theologica.

His most recent works include Fundamental Theology ( 3rd ed. 2009); I Believe, We Believe (2008), Dictionary of Theology (director; 2nd ed. 2007) and Parádosis. programs of study on Tradition (2006).

Santiago Casas (Badalona, 1971) is graduate in Theology from the Pontificia Università della Santa Croce and in Geography and History from the University Rovira i Virgili, as well as a doctor in Theology from the University of Navarra. He is a specialist in the History of the Councils and in the History of the contemporary Spanish Church. He has combined his work professor and research with the following positions: secretary of the high school of Church History (2002-2008) and secretary of the department of Historical Theology (since 2006). He is currently the director of committee publishing house of the journal yearbook de Historia de la Iglesia.

His latest works include El modernismo a la vuelta de un siglo ( Eunsa, 2008), of which he is publisher; as well as chapters in books and specialized articles in Revue d'Histoire Ecclésiastique, Cristianesimo nella Storia, Spagna Contemporanea, Hispania Sacra, Salmanticensis, etc.
