The University of Bordeaux was the winner of the 22nd edition of the Zabalki University Pelota Championship, whose submission awards ceremony took place at the University of Navarra. This center won the award for the best university and the best French university.

Also, one of its students, Amaia Larralde, was awarded the Zabalki Emakume Pilota Trophy, given to the best player. The place Gizon Trophy for the best player was awarded to Xavi Mendy, student of the University of Pau (UPPA).

The Championship was attended by more than 100 athletes from 14 universities. The matches were held at the frontons of the Oberena Sports Club, Labrit, the University of Navarra, the Public University of Navarra and the Trinquete de Larrabide.

The participating universities were: University of Bayonne, University of Bourdeaux, University of Cantabria, University of La Rioja, University of León, Mondragon Unibertsitatea, University of Navarra, University of the Basque Country, University of Pau, Public University of Navarra, University of Valencia, University of Valladolid, University of Tarbes and University of Toulouse.
