Fifty experts participate in the 51st Philosophical Meetings Philosophical Meetings of the University of Navarra, which are being held from today until next Wednesday, the 26th, under the degree scroll "Metaphysics of the Logos: knowledge of itself and self-manifestation. Medieval hermeneutics".

The Meetings, organized by the School of Philosophy y LetrasThe Meetings, organized by the University of Buenos Aires, bring together speakers from international universities such as Laura E. Corso de Estrada, University of Buenos Aires; Agnieszka Kijewska, John Paul II Catholic University of Lublin, Poland; Claudia Patricia Carbonell, Universidad de la Sabana (Colombia); Mirela Oliva, University of St. Thomas, Houston, Texas; Alice Ramos, St. John's University, St. John's University (USA). Houston, Texas; Alice Ramos, St. John's University. New York, and James G. Hanink, Loyola Marymount University, Los Angeles, California.

The University of Navarra will be represented by María Jesús Soto-Bruna, Elisabeth Reinhardt, Concepción Alonso del Real, Lourdes Flamarique, Víctor Sanz, Alejandro Vigo, José Ignacio Murillo, Miguel Brugarolas and José Ángel García Cuadrado.

The specialists want to take up again the central thesis of medieval thinking. In this endeavor, "a decisive conception for the human being and his realization is at stake: trying to redirect contemporary thought through a careful attention to the past, a central task in the Philosophy", explains Professor Mª Jesús Soto, director of the committee organizer of the conference.

The Philosophical Meetings, which have been held since 1964, have a close link with the School Ecclesiastical Philosophy.
