Paola Buselli, lawyer of the Roman Rota, intervened in a seminar of the School of Law of the University of Navarra graduate "Marriage and the processes of nullity". She also gave a talk at lecture on "Matrimonial Law Issues" as part of project "Women, Multiculturalism, Family and Religious Freedom", subsidized by the Jerónimo de Ayanz program.

The expert highlighted the variety of perspectives from which marriage can be approached: anthropological, sociological, historical and legal, among others. Thus, she structured her speech from the point of view of Law, underlining the rich legal content of family relationships, where rights and obligations that affect spouses and children are involved.

She also highlighted the role of Canon Law in the defense of women and the equality of rights and duties with men; an issue that, historically, is undisputed in subject matrimonial. On the other hand, Buselli highlighted the complexity of the causes that lead to marital breakdown, and emphasized the important work of lawyers and judges in the course of nullity proceedings. .

Finally, he referred to adequate preparation for marriage as a particularly suitable instrument for the protection of marriage and, ultimately written request, of the family.
