Introduction to Philosophy', new volume of the 'ISCR Manuals Collection'.
The book has been written by professors Sergio Sánchez-Migallón and Jaime Nubiola.
The high school Higher School of Religious Sciences (ISCR) of the University of Navarra has published the nineteenth volume of the 'ISCR Manuals Collection'. Published by EUNSA, it has been written by professors Sergio Sánchez-Migallón and Jaime Nubiola.
As the authors point out, "its aim is to familiarise the reader with the Philosophy, trying to provoke a philosophical attitude within him, orienting him in the methods used by those who have dedicated themselves to the Philosophy and encouraging him to a more specific and profound study of the different philosophical branches or areas that are developed in the other manuals".
In a simple, accessible and up-to-date style, the five themes of subject provide answers to the questions that may arise for anyone approaching Philosophy: "What is it about? Why and how to study it today? Does it still make sense to seek answers in the face of so much information and so many scientific truths? Is it not superfluous for those who already believe in a religion?
