This year, 27 schools and institutes in Navarre have taken part in the scientific knowledge disseminationsessions organised by the University of Navarre. This is a catalogue with some thirty talks aimed at students from high school diplomaranging from Archaeology or speechin the Covid-19 crisis, to the Tik-Tok case and the protection of data, through the new forms of Jihadist terrorism; and even an escape room.
In addition, 52 guidance counsellors from different schools and institutes in the region attended a workshopof trainingdesigned by the Admissions Office service. Likewise, 44 information sessions have been organised especially aimed at parents of prospective students. Finally, 18 schools have made a visitto campus following a protocolon safety and risk prevention before the Covid.
goalThe aim of the sessions is to bring the work professorand research carried out by the University closer to the schools and colleges of Navarre and the rest of Spain," says Jesús Ayala, delegate of the University's service in Navarre. It is also an attractive way of bringing the content of university degrees to secondary schools and colleges in a practical and entertaining way," says Jesús Ayala, delegate of the Admissions Office service in Navarra. It also helps students to high school diplomastudents to perceive that the contents they are going to find at university will be applied in their future careers employment opportunities.
These are free sessions that take place at high schoolor high school, at modality, in person or online, and are requested through the University of Navarra's Admissions OfficeService.
This workof dissemination of knowledgeis joined by all the activities that the different Schoolsand schools of the academic centre organise throughout the academic year and which have young students as their main audience. The Science Week, the conference of Literary Excellence, the Biology Olympiad and the Clinical Case Competition stand out for their scope and participation.
25 April is the end of the ordinary deadlinefor apply forthe Admissions Office
After two early deadlines for Admissions Office(December and February), the University of Navarra closes the end of the general and ordinary deadlinethis coming Monday 25th April. Students who complete their Admissions Office will be called to take the testof Admissions Officeon Saturday 30 April and will be informed of the resolution on 18 May.
From that moment onwards, applications can only be submitted for those university Degreeswith availabilityof places.
