Alfonso Osorio, new main researcher of the project 'Education ' of the affectivity and human sexuality' of the Institute for Culture and Society

Alfonso Osorio is the new main researcher of the project of research 'Education of the affectivity and human sexuality' (EASH) of the Institute for Culture and Society (ICS) of the University of Navarra. The Full Professor Jokinde Irala passes the baton of the direction to him after a decade at the head of group, which he started at the beginning of the center and has consolidated during these years. 

The goal of EASH is to promote, from adolescence and early youth, the acquisition of healthier sexual lifestyles through an adequate and comprehensive Education of affectivity and sexuality. It proposes multidisciplinary lines of action in parents, schools and young people and in the social environment.

Alfonso Osorio is graduate and PhD in Philosophy (1997) by the University of Navarra and graduate in Psychology by the UNED (2006). He is Senior Associate Professor of Psychology at School of Education and Psychology at the University of Navarra. She has done stays at the Institute for Research and Evaluation (Salt Lake City, USA) and the universities of Yale (USA), the Sorbonne (France) and Piura (Peru). Since October 2018 he is co-principal investigator of EASH. 

Jokin de Irala is graduate in Medicine and Surgery from the University of Navarra, Master's Degree in Public Health in Scotland (1987), Doctor in Medicine (1990) and in 2000 he did a second doctorate in Public Health in the USA. He has been Associate Dean of the School of Medicine of the University of Navarra. In addition to this center, he teaches at the Master's Degree in Marriage and Family and has given numerous conferences in different countries. He is also a member of the Pontifical Academy for Life.

"We have both worked together for some time and little by little the idea that the change was good and possible has come. When you feel satisfaction for the work done and you can count on a person perfectly prepared to take over from you and lead the future, the idea of change comes calmly and naturally", said Jokin de Irala.

Carlos Beltramo, María Calatrava, Cristina López del Burgo and Martiño Rodríguez complete the EASH team at research . Also, Carolina Lupo is assistant to research and Alessia Pessina, manager. thesis Pedro de la Rosa has completed his doctoral studies at project.
