Alejandro G. Vigoresearcher principal of project 'Natural Law and Rationality internship ' of the Institute for Culture and Society and professor at the School of Philosophy y Letras, has been appointed member of the committee board of directors of the Centro de programs of study Públicos (CEP) in Santiago de Chile. It is one of the 30 most influential think-tanks in the world according to the ranking of the Foreign Policy Research Institute (Pennsylvania, USA).
CEP was founded in 1980. It is a private, non-profit, academic foundation dedicated to public affairs. Its purpose is the study and dissemination of the values, principles and institutions that serve as the basis of a free society.
The CEP intends to fulfill guiding functions of public opinion and decision making, through an explicit adherence to personal freedoms, the right to property and democracy as a peaceful and stable form of government.
Alejandro Vigo is graduate at Philosophy and PhD at Philosophy with accredited specialization in Philology Greek and Romanistics. He combines his work at the ICS with teaching and research at School of Philosophy and Letters of the University of Navarra. He has also worked at several universities in Argentina and Chile, including the University of Buenos Aires (Argentina) and the University of the Andes (Chile). He has made stays of research at Universität Heidelberg (Germany), Universität Münster (Munster, Germany), Universität Luzern (Switzerland) and Universität Halle-Wittenberg (Germany).
