Medicine, present at Sports Day
The School was present with various activities organized by the students.
The Sports Day is already an important date at the University of Navarra. Last Saturday, September 23, those attending the event found some activities and stands organized by students of the School of Medicine. The student Roberto Lopez Iracheta helped to quit smoking, in a study he is doing for his work Final of Degree. Also the professor of School, Nerea Martín Calvo, informed and recruited volunteers for the project Sendo, a research on whether the eating habits of children have any influence subject over the years.
congress Oncology for StudentsThe students of the congress Oncology for Students (COE), (COE), meeting to be organized from 22 to 24 February next year, did not want to miss the quotation, and as usual, organized the V Cross COE. It is a degree program through the whole campus of the University with two modalities. The first, for adults, was 5 km long and 143 runners participated. The classification was as follows:
The winners of the adult course (male):
- First classified: Pablo Lassa (dorsal 245). Time: 15 min 35 sec
- Second classified: Gonzalo de Lucio (dorsal 009). Time: 15 min 51 sec
- Third classified: Pablo Lasa (dorsal 247). 15 min 53 sec
The winners of the adult course (female):
- First classified: Adriana Masana Rios (dorsal 038). Time: 20 min 40 sec
- Second place: Catherine Rilley (bib 261). Time: 21 min 22 sec
- Third classified: Marta Videu (dorsal 051). Time 23 min 06 sec
In the second modality, in the children's category, 71 children up to 12 years of age participated, who ran a 1 km course. First place went to Juan Olascoaga, followed by Rodrigo Alonso and, in third place, Andrés Idoate.
At the end, the winners received their award from the University's Alumni Vice President , Tomás Gómez-Acebo.
