CIMA opens its doors during Science Weeks 2009
More than a thousand students and fifty citizens visited the center's facilities.
More than a thousand high school diploma students high school diploma some fifty members of the public visited the research center Applied research center (CIMA) at the University of Navarra as part of the events held for Science Weeks 2009.
As part of these science and technology conference , two exhibitions were inaugurated: one featuring photographs and the other showcasing old science books. In addition, the School of Science a series of six lectures that addressed, in an accessible manner, topics such as microgravity experiments, biotechnology, micromedicines to combat microorganisms, the role of proteomics in the advancement of biomedicine, and “small-scale” biodiversity—focused on Pamplona.
In addition, the awards were presented for the Science and Nature Photography Contest, held for the first time this year on Facebook. And the School of Pharmacy presented the second edition of the Nutrivideo Contest, an competition to promote healthy habits among young people.
Within this framework, on the 20th, 21st, 27th, and 28th, the Casa de la Juventud hosted the new Theater and Science series: a set of four performances aimed at children and teenagers and performed by the University of Navarra group . In addition, students were able attend guided tours of the Natural Science Museum and participate in workshop Biology, Biochemistry Chemistry, Pharmacy, and Nutrition for high school diploma students.
Science Weeks are organized by the department Innovation, business employment the Government of Navarra through the Navarre Agency for Innovation (ANAIN).
