"The alumni can provide a vision internship of the sector in which we work". This was emphasized by Salvador López Beneyto, Senior Product Manager at Amazon in Luxembourg during the first edition of Career Management Week, a week of training at career guidance and preparation for selection processes.

The former student and employee of Amazon encouraged students to participate in this subject of activities and to contact the alumni of the School for apply for career guidance in the different sectors.

For his part, Carlos Andrés Uranga, former student of the School and auditor of entities of credit at the Bank of Spain, believes that Career Management Week provides a knowledge that is very difficult to acquire in the classroom: the specific knowledge of what companies are really looking for.

According to the organizers, this week of training aims, on the one hand, to show how is the work and the degree program professional in the main sectors through the experience of alumni of the School. Five round tables with alumni were held to discuss the following business sectors: Start-ups and New Technologies; Banking and Finance; International Institutions; FMCG; consultancy service and Auditing.

On the other hand, the activity offered the students workshops with the necessary tools to successfully pass interviews at employment and make the most of the dynamics of group. As well as other sessions of training in which the steps to elaborate a resume and how to improve self-knowledge and branding staff were explained.

Preparation for the employment

"This activity will help students to create their brand staff", says Cristina Rodríguez Ruiz de Linares, strategic career advisor and one of the speakers at the Career Management Week workshops. Rodriguez believes that in order to make a good resume the core topic is to know oneself. The branding expert staff stresses that the resume is a document that should be simple and oriented to achieve clear objectives.

Career Management Week is an activity organized by the School of Economics of the University of Navarra and this year was attended by more than 250 students and 30 alumni from about 25 national and foreign companies and institutions.
