Emotional dependence and toxic relationships; time organization; addiction to cell phones and substances such as alcohol or tobacco; management of anxiety; or healthy lifestyle habits. These are some of the topics that have been addressed in a series of eight workshops promoted by Compass, the Counseling and Wellness Unit of the University of Navarra.

The first series of sessions took place during the first semester, from October to November. After a very positive reception, the workshops were repeated at the beginning of the year. Organized in small groups to facilitate interaction, the acquisition of skills and the resolution of doubts, a total of 270 students participated in the sessions, which were given by professionals, professors and researchers from different centers of the University.

"I think the workshops have been very well received and are here to stay," says Enrique Aubá, coordinator of project "Health and Wellness" of the University of Navarra's Strategy 2025. "In addition to the financial aid that we can provide to the participants, this initiative wants to be a way for the university community to grow in different aspects of their lives, as well as to acquire and strengthen healthy habits."

From the workshops, useful resources will be generated for students, teachers and mentors. Some materials are already available on its website.

Compass, the Orientation and Wellness Unit of the University of Navarra, arises in the framework of the project "Health and Wellness", defined in the Strategy 2025 of the academic center. Through personalized counseling, workshops, advice and guides, it aims to guide and accompany students, as well as to support professors in their mentoring work, so that they can combine study and work with a healthy lifestyle.
