The Science Museum of the University of Navarra inaugurates the exhibition "Drugs: brain and society".
The sample will be on display at the Sciences Building of the University of Navarra until Friday, November 28th.

The Science Museum of the University of Navarra has inaugurated this morning the exhibition "Drugs: brain and society", which can be visited from September 29th to Friday, November 28th on the ground floor of the Sciences Building of the University of Navarra.
The sample invites you to discover the science of drugs and the brain: how they work, what effects they produce and how they influence everyday life. In addition, the exhibition looks at the social, historical and environmental implications of drugs, exploring how consumption and production have shaped cultures, economies and natural environments.
"The goal of this exhibition is to look at the phenomenon of drugs head on and from a scientific perspective, to understand what they really are, how they act in our brain, what risks they entail and how they influence health and society," explains Marta Revuelta, curator of the exhibition and manager of Activities at the Science Museum of the University of Navarra.
The exhibition is an interactive tour that seeks to generate knowledge and reflection, from biology and health to society and the environment. "We have organized a bilingual exhibition Spanish) designed to be accessible through objects, interactive panels, games and other resources that invite learning, reflection and dialogue," adds Revuelta.
"Drugs: brain and society" is a temporary exhibition produced by the Science Museum of the University of Navarra thanks to the support of the Caja Navarra Foundation, with the partnership the ONCE Foundation, the Ciganda Ferrer Foundation, El Molinohigh school , Yonki Books, the Navarra National Police Headquarters and the Pamplona Penitentiary Center. A multidisciplinary team from different Schools the University of Navarra(Sciences, Pharmacy and Nutrition, Philosophy and Letters, Nursing and Medicine), together with professionals from the educational and social fields, participated in its design .
Activities around the exhibition
Visits to the exhibition can be made in different modalities, with guides, and with complementary activities such as the viewing of a film or the realization of experimental workshops. All information on reservations, schedules and prices can be consulted on the website of the scientific institution.
In addition, the Navarra Superior Headquarters of the National Police will offer a free talk on "the drug scam" aimed at students from schools that visit the exhibition every week.
On the other hand, the Science Museum has prepared the lecture series "The brain: conditions, protection and evolution" given by different experts from the University of Navarra and which aims to deepen some of the topics covered in the exhibition. These lectures will be held throughout the month of November in partnership with Civivox Iturrama.
