The School of Theology of the University of Navarra will organize next Thursday, November 3, an academic workshop in memoriam of the theologian Jutta Burggraf, who passed away in November 2010.
During the activity, José Morales, professor of the School of Theology of the University of Navarra, will give a theological portrait of Jutta Burggraf; Margarita Martín Ludeña, of the University of Zaragoza, who will speak on 'The talent to communicate freedom'; and Barbara Schellenberger, of the University of Cologne, with a discussion paper on 'The authentic "humanitas" as a path to God. Jutta Burggraf holds a PhD in Psycho-pedagogy from the University of Cologne (1979) and a PhD in Theology from the University of Navarra (1984). She joined the department of Dogmatic Theology of the campus in 1996, coming from the high school International Academic (Kerkrade, The Netherlands), where she had been working at teaching since 1989. During these years he has focused his research activity in various fields: ecumenism, theology of creation, theology of women, feminism, etc., on which he has published numerous works.
He published more than 20 books and more than 70 articles in specialized and informative journals, collaborated in about 70 collective works, participated in numerous symposiums and international congresses and gave lectures in about twenty countries.
She was also co-editor of the German magazine Mariologisches, director of the 'Anthropology' collection of the publishing house Promesa (Costa Rica), member of the committee Científico del Internationaler Mariologischer Arbeitskreis Kevelaer (Germany) and corresponding member of the Pontifical Marian Academy Internationalis. In 1987 she was appointed by John Paul II as expert in the Ordinary Synod of Bishops on "The vocation and mission statement of the laity in the Church and in the world", held in Rome.
