Nearly 450 schoolchildren from 26 schools around the country reflect on a sustainable future at the University.

The 12th edition of the Excellence Programme was held in Pamplona and, for the first time, also at campus in Madrid.

A total of 448 students from high school diploma, from 26 schools in Spain, have taken part in the Excellence Programme. Coordinated by the School of Philosophy y Letras, these conference aim to improve the cultural training of young people and their ability to contribute to society. In its 12th edition, the students have reflected on "Hope and sustainable future" through various sessions given by teachers from different Schools and centres. This year, for the first time, two sessions were held: one in Pamplona and the other at campus of the University of Navarra in Madrid. In addition, 107 schoolchildren attended online.

The meeting in the capital took place on 14 October and brought together 131 students. The workshop started with a presentation of the University's "Strategy 2025" at position by Jesús Miguel Santamaría, lecturer at School of Sciences. Ana Sánchez Ostiz, lecturer at the School of ArchitectureAna Sánchez Ostiz, lecturer at the University, spoke to the students about "Sustainable Cities". Dolores López degree scroll , lecturer at the School of Philosophy y Letras, gave a session under the title "Rethinking sustainability". She also explained to the audience how to make a dissertation.

Sarah Ceniceros, from the Writing Centre of the School of Philosophy and Letters, shared with the students the keys to making a dissertation. Bienvenido León, lecturer at the School of speech, spoke about how to "Communicate sustainability". Juan José Pons, from the School of Philosophy and Letters, gave a session on "Cities and sustainability". Francisco Guillén, lecturer at School , presented a session on "Health, sustainability and the environment" at discussion paper under the title degree scroll . The workshop ended with a session at position by members of the Sustainability Club and Professor Dolores López, from School of Philosophy and Letters.

Throughout this academic year 2021-2022, in their respective centres, the students will carry out research works on this topic and will defend them publicly during the closing ceremony of the programme, which will be held in Pamplona on 7 March.
