Professor Valentín Gómez-Iglesias participated in the congress "On the Centenary of the birth of Bishop Álvaro del Portillo. Vir fidelis multum laudabitur". He presented the paper, "Bishop Álvaro del Portillo and the juridical pathway of Opus Dei". Rome, March 12-14, 2014.
School Ecclesiastical Philosophy
María Jesús Soto-Bruna has been elected board member of the board Directive of the Spanish Society of Philosophy Medieval (SOFIME) in its last Assembly, held on March 7 in Madrid.
She participated in the congress "On the Centenary of the birth of Bishop Alvaro del Portillo. Vir fidelis multum laudabitur", in which he presented the communication: "Freedom and divine filiation: Inheritance in Bishop Alvaro del Portillo". Rome, March 12-14, 2014
Professor Gonzalo Aranda, pronounced the lecture: "Papyri with apocryphal Christian texts" and Professor Juan Chapa "The papyri of Oxyrhynchus" within the seminar of Papyrology, organized by the School of Theology of Northern Spain (Vitoria) and the Biblical and Oriental Institute (IBO), Vitoria-Gasteiz, March 11 to 13.
Professor Santiago Casas has revised and updated the eighth edition of the book by Don José Orlandis, Historia de la Iglesia, (Colección Teológica, 11), Rialp, 2014. Specifically, a chapter dedicated to the pontificates of John Paul II and Benedict XVI has been added to this edition, and bibliography has been updated.
Professor Gregorio Guitián gave the seminar "The Apostolic Exhortation Evangelii Gaudium", in the "seminar of research Philosophy and Economics" of the department of Economics of the School of Economics and Business Administration of the University of Navarra. March 5. He is currently doing a research stay at the Centro di ricerca 'Markets, Culture & Ethics' of the Università Pontifcia della Santa Croce (Rome).
The Professor Emeritus Josep-Ignasi Saranyana participated in the congress "On the Centenary of the birth of Bishop Álvaro del Portillo. Vir fidelis multum laudabitur" with the lecture "Historical-ecclesial context of the life and activity of Bishop Álvaro del Portillo (1935-1994)". Rome, March 12-14, 2014.
The professor of Systematic Theology Javier Sesé pronounced the lecture: "And after death, what?" in the Dean's Palace of Tudela (Navarra). March 18.
