The meeting Landlords' School of Law advises landlords
Students from Degree provide free legal advice service
The University of Navarra's School Law School has organized two conference legal advice sessions at subject real estate, a new edition of the meeting for Landlords. The meetings, held on two consecutive Saturdays, help to clear up doubts and fears of property owners who are thinking of renting to members of the university community. As an innovation, this year the second workshop has been dedicated to professional landlords.
Landlords and student members of legal aid of Students (AJÁ) held two intensive and very practical sessions on urban leases, and offered their services as a channel for management of conflicts arising in the environment of student apartments.
Javier Fajardo, professor at Civil Law and supervisor of the students, explains that the conflicts that arise around rental contracts are very varied: the contract itself essay and its negotiation between the parties, rights and obligations of landlords and tenants, rights and duties of tenants if it is a shared apartment, with the rest of the neighbors and for the termination of the relationship (extension, return of the deposit, damages ...).
AJA students mainly deal with issues related to leases because they are the most common in the university community, but they also provide free advice on other issues such as consumer contracts, fines or foreigners.
