Solidarity decorations for the Ecclesiastical Schools building this Christmas
The decorative handicrafts have been prepared by children and can be purchased to support an orphanage in India at the initiative of Christudas Thekkutheri, student Indian School of Theology.
The building that houses the Ecclesiastical Schools of the University of Navarra will be decorated with Christmas decorations prepared in the workshops of the solidarity children of association Nuevo Diálogo(Andi), a group founded and promoted by several students and professionals of the University and their children. The handicrafts can also be purchased as part of their Christmas campaign to collaborate with the training and maintenance of children in an orphanage in India: "We want to help them to study and get out of poverty", explains Elisa Maria Rodrigues de Araujo, a professor at the School of Canon Law and a member of Andi.
The driving force behind this agreement is Christudas Thekkutheri, student from India from School of Theology, delegate in Pamplona of this project of Andi. He and other students from the same country of the Schools Ecclesiastical will place the Christmas decoration. This initiative is part of the 7th Christmas Campaign of Andi Junior, the children and youth section founded in 2014 by children of whom some are already students of the University of Navarra, and whose goal - in addition to solidarity - is to train and disseminate around the values of children's rights. "Children helping children" is the message that the children and young people of ANDI want to instill and transmit, explains Rodrigues de Araujo. He opens the possibility of collaborating in this campaign also by contributing handicrafts.
Christmas cards and boxes with decorative elements prepared by hand by members of Andi Junior are offered. To purchase the cards and boxes, to send handicrafts or donations, or to receive information from Andi, please contact directly the teacher Elisa Maria Rodrigues de Araujo(erodriguesa@unav.es / andidialogo@gmail.com).
