Sustainability in the Autonomous Community, a discussion

The University of Navarra hosts the II meeting of the Forum for Sustainability in Navarra, with the participation of 42 public and private entities.

Tomorrow, Wednesday 29th, the University of Navarra will host the second discussion of the Forum for Sustainability in Navarra, focused this year not only on the environmental challenges of the region, but also on new approaches to social policy, Education and health in the context of the current crisis.

In the meeting, inaugurated by the Dean of the School of Sciences, Ignacio López-Goñi, will participate the experts Mario Gaviria Labarta, urban sociologist and award National Environment; Miguel Laparra Navarro, professor at the Public University of Navarra and director of research center for Equality and Social Integration; Guillermo Herrero Maté, doctor in Geography and History and former general director of Education; and Luis Gabilondo Pujol, director of the Service of research, Innovation and training Sanitary of the Government of Navarra.

Among the topics to be addressed will be the concept of "self-sustainability for Navarra", which will be discussed by Mario Gaviria; the social sustainability of Navarra through employment, social protection, flexibility and security, analyzed by Miguel Laparra; the incorporation of health impact analysis, explained by Luis Gabilondo; or the model of the Education of the future in Navarra, which will be presented by Guillermo Herrero at position .

The meeting, promoted by CRANA, the two universities of Navarra, the high school Official Sociologists of Navarra and Chair UNESCO, will close with a discussion open to the attendees.

The Forum for the Sustainability of Navarra involves 42 public and private entities that aim to promote progress towards greater sustainability of the region in the economic, social and environmental fields.
