Sustainability in the Autonomous Community, a discussion

The University of Navarra hosts the II meeting of the Forum for Sustainability in Navarra, with the participation of 42 public and private entities.

The University of Navarra will host the second discussion the Forum for Sustainability in Navarra tomorrow, Wednesday the 29th. This year’s event will focus not only on the environmental challenges facing the region but also on new approaches to social policy, Education health in the context of the current crisis.

The meeting, opened by the Dean the School of Science, Ignacio López-Goñi, will feature experts Mario Gaviria Labarta, urban sociologist and award Environment award ; Miguel Laparra Navarro, professor at the Public University of Navarra and director research center Equality and Social Integration; Guillermo Herrero Maté, PhD in Geography and History and former Director General of Education; and Luis Gabilondo Pujol, director the Government of Navarra’s Service for research, Innovation, and training .

Among the topics to be addressed are the concept of “self-sustainability for Navarra,” which Mario Gaviria will discuss; the social sustainability of Navarra through employment, social protection, flexibility, and security, analyzed by Miguel Laparra; the incorporation of health impact analysis, explained by Luis Gabilondo; and the model Education future Education in Navarra, which will position Guillermo Herrero.

The meeting, organized by CRANA, the two universities of Navarra, the high school of Sociologists of Navarra, and the Chair , will conclude with a discussion to attendees.

Forty-two public and private entities are participating in the Forum for the Sustainability of Navarra, aiming promote toward greater sustainability in the region in the economic, social, and environmental spheres.
