This section highlights the most relevant academic activities carried out by the professors of Schools during the month.
Juan J. Guardia has obtained a scholarship from the program "Becas Santander Iberoamerica Jóvenes Profesores e Investigadores España 2014": a two-month stay at the Pontifica Universidad Católica de Chile during academic year 2014-15.
Joaquín Sedano has been appointed member of the scientific committee of the Summer School "Il diritto canonico nella storia: studio e ricerca sulle fonti", dependent on the Facoltà di Diritto Canonico 'San Pio X', of the Studium Generale Marcianum, in Venice.
Since April, he has also been a core member of the "Canon Law History Research Center" of the Pázmány Péter Catholic University (Budapest, Hungary).
Professors Antonio Aranda, Fermín Labarga and Román Sol - all three members of the board board of directors of the Spanish Mariological Society - participated in the congress Mariológico de Sevilla, organized jointly by the Spanish Mariological Society, the PAMI (Pontifical International Mariological Academy) and the Hermandad de la Esperanza Macarena, on the occasion of the fiftieth anniversary of the canonical coronation of the Virgin. Félix María Arocena delivered the lecture discussion paper: "Alexander Lesley's preface to the Mozarabic missal of Cisneros (1500)" at the Symposium "Fides, Cultura, Actio...". seminar diocesan of Torún (Poland), May 15-16.
Pablo Blanco. He presented the discussion paper "Joseph Ratzinger, passion for truth" in the session "La comprensió de la litúrgia en Joseph Ratzinger. Una aproximació des de la veritat", organized by the Centre de Pastoral Litúrgica de Barcelona. May 28th. This professor has published, together with German and Hungarian authors, "In the beginning (Gn 1:1, Jn 1:1). Creation, nature and ecology according with Joseph Ratzinger - Benedict XVI", in Nadja El Beheiri - János Erdödy, "Ins Herz geschrieben. Die grundlagen des freiheitlichen Rechtsstaates. Álvaro Fernández de Córdova has published the article "Los emblemas de la conquista: armas y divisas de Juan I Trastámara ante la sucesión portuguesa (1383-1390)" in "Armas e Trofeus. Revista de Historia, Heráldica, Genealogía e Arte" (2014), pp. 229-269. The work is part of the project of research promoted by the ICS (University of Navarra) "Teología política de las monarquías hispanas bajomedievales: un estudio comparativo" .
Gregorio Guitián. Participated in the "seminar di Storia del Pensiero Economico e Fede Cristiana" given by Prof. Stefano Zamagni, on topic "L'Economia civile nell'illuminismo italiano", organized by the Markets, Culture & Ethics Center of the Pontificia Università della Santa Croce. Rome, May 14.
Fernando Milán and Diego Pérez attended the symposium "Isaiah and the beginnings of Christian theology". Pontifical University of Salamanca. May 8.
Pedro Rodríguez. He gave the lecture lecture "Álvaro del Portillo: his ecclesial figure", in the Roman Theater, Cartagena, May 14.
Javier Sánchez Cañizares. He participated in the congress "Toward a Science of Consciousness" in Tucson (Arizona), April 21-26.
School Ecclesiastic of Philosophy
Sergio Sánchez-Migallón participated in the seminar Annual Meeting of the Spanish Society of Phenomenology (SEFE), to which he belongs, and in the subsequent annual meeting of members. The seminar dealt with the introduction to the work "Phenomenology of Perception", by Maurice Merleau-Ponty. UNED. Madrid, May 9.
