ELG students participate in a seminar on U.S. politics in Washington.

The activity is part of Study program of the third year students of the Economics Leadership and Governance program.

Third year students in the Economics Leadership and Governance participate in a cultural seminar on the fundamental principles and modernization of the state, the public administration and the mechanisms of government in the United States. The seminar is organized by the Department of Government at Georgetown University, Washington D.C., USA.

For two weeks, participants are taught about the political system and the mechanisms of government in the U.S. by internationally prominent speakers. The main goal of this course is to foster and strengthen the ability of student to analyze and understand the political and economic conditions in the United States today, through a basic understanding of economic thought and action within the U.S. public sector.

To enrich these objectives, visits to think tanks such as the Cato Institute, the department of State, Capitol Hill or the Democratic Party headquarters are also organized. 2018 is the third year in which a group of students from the Degree of Economics, Leadership and Governance at the University of Navarra are conducting this seminar this seminar.
