Elena Arbués, a professor and researcher at the University of Navarra, will be the new director of the University of Navarra's Master's Degree University in academic staff (MUP). She replaces Araceli Arellano, who has been at the helm of Master's Degree for two years, at position . Arbués was already at the helm of Master's Degree from 2016 to 2021.

Elena Arbués has a degree in Teaching from the University of Zaragoza and a degree in Pedagogy from the Universidad Nacional de Education a Distancia, a master's degree in Marriage and Family and a doctorate in Education from our University. For ten years she has developed her professional work in various educational centers. Since 2011 she has been a professor at the School of Education and Psychology. Her teaching is focused on the didactics of experimental sciences and on the social and civic aspects of Education.
She is a member of the group of research in Education, Citizenship and Character (GIECC)his priority line of research is the civic Education , the Education of character and the promotion of social participation.

In 2019, being at the helm of Master's Degree at academic staff since 2016, she was appointed Vice Dean of Students at School of Education and Psychology, position which she held until June 2023. 

The Master's Degree at academic staff, a comprehensive and international training

The Master's Degree in academic staff was born in 2009 with the goal to offer the student a scientific professional training with a high humanistic and ethical component.

It has the Program of the Diploma of high school diploma International with which the student completes its training obtaining a professional development that fosters critical thinking and a culture of lifelong learning. 

In addition, the program includes an internship period that not only provides students with the opportunity to acquire teaching and learning skills, but also fosters transversal skills necessary for the practice of the profession professor such as management of classroom or conflict resolution.
