The School of Law of the University of Navarra has organized a congress on the process of institutionalization of Castile, Aragon and Navarra. Government and justice in the territories of the Spanish Monarchy: a comparative perspective brought together experts in different branches of law to investigate the integration of territories into new political entities and its consequences on administrative institutions. The symposium is framed in a research promoted by the Ministry of Economics and Competitiveness.

Salustiano de Dios, Full Professor of History of Law and Institutions of the University of Salamanca, addressed the topic Government and justice in the committee of Castile, XV-XVII centuries . His counterpart at the University of the Basque Country, Jon Arrieta Alberdi, presented The 'Mediterranean' factor in the orientation of the government of the kingdoms of the Crown of Aragon.

The chief archivist of the Parliament of Navarre, Luis Javier Fortún, presented his discussion paper La transformación del committee Real de Navarra en la primera mitad del siglo XVI. Pilar Arregui, full professor of History of Law and Institutions of the University of Navarra, addressed The committee of Navarra in the light of Gasco's visit .

Isabel Ostolaza, Professor of Historiographic Sciences and Techniques at the Public University of Navarra, explained The special commissions for the sale of grants and their relationship with the 17th century royal institutions (viceroy, Chamber and Councils) .Mercedes Galán, professor of History of Law and Institutions of the University of Navarra explained The Government of Navarra through the agents at the Court (16th-19th centuries).

Finally, Jerome Slonina, professor of History of Law at the Université de Pau et des Pays de l'Adour, explained The Statute of Bayonne and the origins of constitutionalism in Spain.
