Three researchers from CIMA obtain the accreditation as full professors.

Professors Javier Díez and José Antonio Páramo have been awarded the Chair in Health Sciences, and Juan Francisco Medina, in Medicine.

Three researchers from research center Applied Medicine (CIMA) of the University of Navarra have obtained the accreditation as professors, awarded by the National Agency for Quality assessment and accreditation (National Agency for Assessment of Quality and Accreditation). Specifically, Javier Díez and José Antonio Páramo have obtained the Chair in Health Sciences and Juan Francisco Medina, in Medicine.

Javier Díez Martínez, director of the area of Cardiovascular Sciences at CIMA, focuses his main line of research on the study of the mechanisms involved in cardiac damage caused by hypertension, as well as on the development of diagnostic biomarkers and new therapeutic approaches. consultant of the department of Cardiology and Cardiovascular Surgery of the University Clinic, he is Full Professor of Medicine at the University of Navarra and Visiting Professor at the School of Medicine of Wake Forest University (USA).

José Antonio Páramo Fernández, director of the laboratory of Atherosclerosis of the area of Cardiovascular Sciences, carries out his research activity in the field of hemostasis and thrombosis. In addition to being co-director of the Hematology Service of the University Clinic, Dr. Páramo is Professor of Hematology and clinical tutor at the School of Medicine of the University of Navarra.

Juan Francisco Medina Cabrera is the director of the laboratory of Genetics Molecular area of Gene Therapy and Hepatology of CIMA. Professor of the School of Medicine of the University of Navarra, since 2006 he belongs to the committee of Direction of the CIBERehd (research center Biomedical in network in the thematic area of Hepatic and Digestive Diseases).
